About Xplarion

Built by explorers.
Guided by data.

Mineral exploration is risky, expensive, and slow, especially at the early stage when uncertainty is highest and the cost of a wrong decision is largest.

At Xplarion, we've lived these challenges firsthand. We built the platform we wished we'd had.

The origin

After years in the field, working regional reconnaissance programs, managing multi-million dollar drill programs, and watching promising ground get written off because the data told an incomplete story, our founders reached the same conclusion independently: the tools available to exploration teams had not kept up with the data available to them.

Geology, geophysics, geochemistry, and satellite data existed in silos. Integrating them took months of manual GIS work. The models used to interpret that data were decades old. And the insight extracted from billions of dollars of historical exploration investment sat largely untapped in government archives and company filing cabinets.

"We weren't missing targets because the ore wasn't there. We were missing them because the tools couldn't see it."

In 2025, Xplarion was incorporated at the Colorado School of Mines, one of the world's foremost centers for applied geoscience and mining engineering. The vision was clear: build an AI platform that treats exploration data the way a senior geoscientist with unlimited time and compute would.

The problem we solve

Exploration teams typically operate with two constraints that are in direct tension: the need to cover large, geologically complex areas, and the need to focus capital on the highest-probability zones. Manual methods force a trade-off. Xplarion eliminates it.

Our platform processes and synthesizes every available dataset across a given area of interest, including public government surveys, proprietary company data, and our own curated geoscience knowledge base, into a single spatial model. AI then evaluates every sub-zone simultaneously against proven deposit analogs, producing a ranked list of targets with clear, geologically defensible rationale.

The result isn't a black-box recommendation. It's a ranked target list your team can interrogate, question, and build on, with every contributing factor visible and auditable.

Our vision

Mineral exploration is entering a new era. The deposits that will power the energy transition, including lithium, copper, cobalt, nickel, and uranium, need to be found faster and with less capital destruction than the industry's current methods allow.

We believe AI-driven target generation will become the default starting point for every serious exploration program within the decade. Not because AI replaces geoscientists (it doesn't), but because it amplifies what a skilled team can do with the same time and budget.

Our vision is simple: equip every exploration team, from major miners to junior explorers, with the ability to uncover value earlier, optimize resources, and never miss the next significant find because of blind spots or data fragmentation.

With Xplarion, companies can move from uncertainty to action, with the confidence that only comes from integrated data and intelligent analysis.

Our principles

The values that guide how we build the platform, serve our clients, and conduct ourselves as a geoscience company.

๐Ÿ”ฌ

Geoscience first

Every model, every output, every recommendation is grounded in established geoscience. AI amplifies our expert knowledge. It doesn't replace it. Our geoscientists review every deliverable.

๐Ÿ”

Explainable outputs

We don't believe in black boxes. Every target score comes with full feature attribution across structural, alteration, geophysical, and geochemical criteria, so your team can interrogate, challenge, and build on our recommendations.

๐Ÿ”’

Data confidentiality

Your proprietary datasets are never shared with third parties, used to train models for other clients, or retained beyond the terms of your engagement. Data sovereignty is non-negotiable.

โšก

Speed without shortcuts

We deliver results in hours or days, not months. We never cut corners on data quality, model validation, or expert review. Speed comes from better tools, not less rigor.

๐Ÿค

Partnership mindset

We embed with your team's program, not just provide a report. As new field data comes in, we update the model. We're most valuable when we're working alongside you through the full exploration cycle.

๐ŸŒ

Critical minerals focus

The energy transition depends on finding more lithium, copper, cobalt, nickel, and uranium. We prioritize commodities where AI-assisted discovery can have the most meaningful impact on a global scale.
